This is a straightforward iron farm design that includes a mechanism to scare the villagers. It can be built at any height, but for ease of use, it’s recommended to build it lower down, avoiding ground spawns with slabs or approximately 14 blocks in all directions as shown in the images.
For optimal farm performance, it’s crucial to let the villagers sleep for one night without being startled. The redstone mechanism requires 51 or 52 blocks to function correctly. Typically, one iron golem spawns each time the block is removed by the mechanism, though this can vary slightly based on the golem’s death time.
If you build this farm at a high altitude, consider placing the killing zone on the ground to improve efficiency. The positioning of the villagers and the mechanism was inspired by Aurigas’s farm design. Please note that this design is only compatible with Minecraft Java Edition.

What to bring first
Survival or creative?
Every block in this build can be obtained in survival, so it can be built by hand without creative mode or commands. You will need Silk Touch for Glass.
How to Place It:
Moving parts
It includes Comparator, Hopper, Redstone Block, Redstone Wire, Sticky Piston, so check the mechanism still works after pasting – redstone state and item-container contents do not always survive a paste.
