This is my second build, an expanded kelp farm designed for high production. It generates a significant amount of kelp, and I’m happy to time its output if you’d like to know the exact yield. I hope you find this build enjoyable and useful.

This kelp farm is an upgrade from a basic design, offering increased efficiency. It’s suitable for players looking to maximize their kelp resources in Minecraft.

This build uses 385 blocks across 19 block types – about 7 stacks in total, which fits inside a single shulker box. It occupies 13×8 blocks of ground and stands 8 blocks tall.

Survival or creative?

Every block in this build can be obtained in survival, so it can be built by hand without creative mode or commands. You will need Silk Touch for Glass.

Moving parts

It includes Comparator, Dispenser, Hopper, Lever, Observer, Piston, Powered Rail, Rail, so check the mechanism still works after pasting – redstone state and item-container contents do not always survive a paste.
