This is my very first observatory build in Minecraft. It’s a unique structure that offers a great view of the night sky.

Perfect for any player looking to add a touch of wonder and discovery to their world, this observatory can serve as a focal point for your base or a standalone marvel.

Before You Build

This build uses 1,364 blocks across 47 block types – about 22 stacks in total, which fits inside a single shulker box. It occupies 11×11 blocks of ground and stands 30 blocks tall.

What to bring first

Andesite – 212 3 stacks + 20
Bricks – 148 2 stacks + 20
Granite – 123 1 stack + 59
Stone Brick Wall – 104 1 stack + 40
Terracotta – 77 1 stack + 13

Survival or creative?

Every block in this build can be obtained in survival, so it can be built by hand without creative mode or commands. You will need Silk Touch for Grass Block.

Moving parts

It includes Redstone Block, Redstone Lamp, so check the mechanism still works after pasting – redstone state and item-container contents do not always survive a paste.
