This is a highly efficient and straightforward sugar cane farm. It requires a sufficient amount of iron to construct. The design is expandable, allowing you to build upwards or backwards by connecting additional identical farms.

While not an exceptionally novel decoration, I hope you find it appealing. Credits for the original design go to whoever created it; it has been a while since I made this farm and I do not recall its source.

Before You Build

This build uses 8,539 blocks across 26 block types – about 134 stacks in total, or 5 shulker boxes worth of material. It occupies 49×23 blocks of ground and stands 25 blocks tall.

What to bring first

Dirt – 2,013 31 stacks + 29
Stone – 1,520 23 stacks + 48
Deepslate Bricks – 1,285 20 stacks + 5
Grass Block – 966 15 stacks + 6
Glass – 840 13 stacks + 8

Survival or creative?

This build is not survival-obtainable as-is. It contains Dirt Path, which cannot be collected in survival – paste it in creative, or substitute those blocks.

Moving parts

It includes Hopper, Observer, Piston, Powered Rail, Rail, Redstone Block, Redstone Wire, so check the mechanism still works after pasting – redstone state and item-container contents do not always survive a paste.
