Inspired by a visual in the Minecraft Guide to Farming, this automatic harvester was designed without explicit instructions. It’s a redstone-powered multi-level design intended for efficient crop gathering.

While the original build utilized some blocks from the Tinkers Construct mod (version 1.12.2-2.11.0.106), these can be easily substituted with standard glass blocks for a vanilla Minecraft experience. The included images provide further visual guidance for construction.

Before You Build

This build uses 1,041 blocks across 15 block types – about 17 stacks in total, which fits inside a single shulker box. It occupies 28×13 blocks of ground and stands 9 blocks tall.

What to bring first

Dirt – 332 5 stacks + 12
Grass Block – 257 4 stacks + 1
Farmland – 160 2 stacks + 32
Clear Glass – 145 2 stacks + 17
Water – 88 1 stack + 24

Survival or creative?

This build is not survival-obtainable as-is. It contains Farmland, which cannot be collected in survival – paste it in creative, or substitute those blocks.

Moving parts

It includes Hopper, Redstone Torch, Redstone Wire, Sticky Piston, so check the mechanism still works after pasting – redstone state and item-container contents do not always survive a paste.
