Brazier Mod 1.16.5/1.16.1 is a multiblock structure (similar to a Beacon or a Conduit) that the player can build. Brazier when active will prevent hostile organisms from appearing within its active range. It will save you from having to light things up and still keep you safe.

Brazier can only be built from 4 blocks as follows: Ancient Debris, Crying Obsidian, Netherite Block or Gilded Blackstone. You can see that these 4 blocks are quite rare and difficult to obtain.
You also need an important item called the Living Flame to be able to perfect the Brazier. The Living Flame will drop from the Crazed Illager (a new hostile creature spawned in Woodland Mansion) or can be found in the Jungle Temple. The Living Flame when placed on top of the Brazier completes it.
Brazier can be built up to 10 floors, each floor will require you to have 21 blocks of the 4 above (you can see how to build Brazier in the picture). And each floor of Brazier will increase its range to 10 blocks (ie a maximum of 100 blocks around Brazier). You can use Torch on Brazier to get Living Torch. The Living Torch in hand will display the Brazier’s range.
