This is an updated design of a farm tower, created to address issues with comparator-based harvesting. It utilizes observer blocks for more reliable pumpkin and melon collection.

This half-automatic tower consolidates all farming needs into a single structure. A button controls water flow for harvesting crops like potatoes, carrots, and netherwarts, which require manual replanting. Other crops, including melons, pumpkins, sugar cane, and cactus, are harvested automatically using pistons and observer blocks. The cactus harvesting mechanism is designed to trigger immediately after growth.

Be aware that this build incorporates numerous hoppers, so a substantial amount of iron will be necessary for its construction. The tower is fully enclosed with glass, though screenshots may appear different due to connected or borderless glass textures.

Before You Build

This build uses 2,560 blocks across 30 block types – about 40 stacks in total, or 2 shulker boxes worth of material. It occupies 18×15 blocks of ground and stands 23 blocks tall.

What to bring first

Glass – 1,166 18 stacks + 14
Dirt – 281 4 stacks + 25
Stone Bricks – 238 3 stacks + 46
Water – 212 3 stacks + 20
Hopper – 109 1 stack + 45

Survival or creative?

This build is not survival-obtainable as-is. It contains Farmland, which cannot be collected in survival – paste it in creative, or substitute those blocks.

Moving parts

It includes Comparator, Dispenser, Hopper, Observer, Piston, Redstone Wire, Repeater, so check the mechanism still works after pasting – redstone state and item-container contents do not always survive a paste.
