Minecraft PE 27.0 is the version number the next big Minecraft Bedrock Edition update is expected to carry. Since Mojang switched to year-based version numbers, every 2026 release has been a 26.x build (the latest is 26.52), so the first release of 2027 should be 27.0. Its headline feature is The Sift, the first brand-new dimension since The End, revealed at Minecraft Live on September 26, 2026. This page tracks everything confirmed so far and will get the 27.0 APK download as soon as the first official 27.x builds are out.

Minecraft PE 27.0 APK

Is Minecraft PE 27.0 out yet? Not yet. Mojang has only said that The Sift arrives in 2027, and no 27.0 build (release, beta or preview) exists today. The newest version you can play right now is Minecraft PE 1.26.52.3 (26.52), with download links below. Treat any file that claims to be the “final Minecraft 27.0 APK” as fake.

Minecraft PE 27.0 Release Date

There is no exact release date yet. At Minecraft Live (September 26, 2026) Mojang said The Sift is coming to both Minecraft Bedrock Edition (MCPE) and Java Edition in 2027. Before that, the Ice Caves drop, the fourth game drop of 2026, is still to come as a 26.x update.

New features normally show up in Minecraft Preview and the Android beta first, weeks before the full release. We will update this page when the first 27.x preview appears.

The Sift: Minecraft’s First New Dimension Since The End

The Sift will be the fourth dimension, next to the Overworld, the Nether and the End, and the first new one since The End was added in 2011. Here is what the reveal showed:

  • Rolling pink and green “grass” that looks like a healthy, colorful version of sculk.
  • White trees with thick trunks and weeping white foliage hanging from their leaves.
  • New blocks, biomes and resources. Official names have not been announced yet.
  • Coming to Bedrock Edition and Java Edition. How players will travel to The Sift has not been revealed.

New Mob: the Blub

The Blub is a tiny, passive, rabbit-like mob that lives only in The Sift. Its glowing body jiggles with every step and it likes to peer curiously at players. It is already the dimension’s unofficial mascot, much like the Ghast is for the Nether.

Play The Sift early in Minecraft Dungeons II

The Sift first appears in Minecraft Dungeons II, which launches on September 29, 2026. Rifts in its connected world pull players into The Sift, alongside new areas such as the Meadow and the Carapace. The vanilla Minecraft version follows in 2027.

Coming Before 27.0: the Ice Caves Drop

The fourth game drop of 2026, expected later this year, adds a new, rare cave biome:

  • Ice Caves: caverns of ice and calcite with icicles on the ceiling and glowing ice crystals growing from the ground.
  • Frozen Zombie (name not final): a new zombie variant whose melee attacks freeze you. Some of them throw ice balls.
  • Freezing effect: applied by frozen zombie attacks and also available through potion brewing.
  • Ice Ball: a new throwable ranged item that deals damage based on its speed, similar to an arrow.

Minecraft PE 27.0 FAQ

Is there a Minecraft PE 27.0 APK I can download today?

No. No official 27.0 build exists yet. The current version is 1.26.52.3. Files named “Minecraft 27.0 APK” that you find online today are either renamed older versions or fakes.

Will it be called 27.0 or 1.27?

Mojang has not announced the number yet. Following the year-based scheme (26.x for 2026 releases, 27.x for 2027), the first 2027 release is expected to show as “v27.0” in the game, while the full Android build number keeps the “1.” prefix, just like today’s 1.26.52.3.

When can I play The Sift?

In vanilla Minecraft, in 2027. You can explore a version of it now in Minecraft Dungeons II, which comes out on September 29, 2026.

Will my worlds carry over?

Yes. Bedrock worlds are upgraded when you open them in a newer version. Back them up first, because an older version cannot open a world after it has been upgraded.
