In Minecraft, the Deep Ocean is a biome in the Overworld. It is a water world with a large ocean. In this biome, you can find an Ocean Monument (also called Guardian Temple or Water Temple) under the water.

The Deep Ocean biome is under water, so weather does not apply.

The Ocean Monument is made up of prismarine, prismarine bricks and dark prismarine and it is lit with sea lanterns. The monument is held up by 23 large pillars made of prismarine bricks. The Ocean Monument is protected by two types of underwater mobs – guardians and elder guardians. Both of these mobs are hostile and will attack you. As you approach either, you will hear an eerie noise.
