MCEF Library (1.19.2, 1.18.2) (Minecraft Chromium Embedded Framework) is an API to allow Minecraft Modders to add custom web browsers into Minecraft.

Features:

MCEF [Forge] is a mod for Minecraft that is a forge version of MCEF, a core library that allows other mods to use the Chromium web browser in the game. MCEF [Forge] supports multiple platforms and provides an updated Chromium release. The current Chromium version is 100.0.4896. MCEF [Forge] is based on the fabric version of Javaarchive, which is based on the original work of ds58. Ds58 updated the Chromium version and added platform support. Javaarchive ported it to fabric and ui. Mysticpasta1 ported it from fabric to forge.

What JavaArchive got working:

What doesn’t work:

  • Pressing enter in text boxes
  • Scroll wheel
  • Focusing the address bar (Easily fixable)

Currently supported platforms:

  • Windows 10/11 64 bit
  • macOS (Intel-based Macs only)
  • Linux 64-bit (tested on Fedora 34 and Ubuntu 20.04) (note: Linux actually has an incompatible glibc 2.32 in the newest CEF builds sadly so 20.04 and lower will run into library issues). These issues JavaArchive can’t really fix unless JavaArchive gets the time to build CEF myself.
