On Soul Fire Mod (1.19.2, 1.18.2) integrates into the game a new system, in which, whenever an entity makes contact with the Blue Fire of the Nether, they would be set on blue fire, rather than the old red fire in the old version. This feature does not work only as an indicator, the blue fire would also prove itself to be more severe as it ticks 2 damage per second compared to the 1 damage of the red fire. From now on, players would need to be extra careful when commuting the Nether as Blue Fire is deadly with 2x the damage it could be dealing. At the same time, players can utilize blue fire to defeat a large number of mobs and create better protection for their bases.
