This automatic wheat farm is designed to produce approximately 440 wheat per hour. It utilizes a zombie villager that has been filled with 8 stacks of seeds.

The farm operates by exploiting the zombie villager’s AI. When its inventory is full of seeds, it attempts to harvest the wheat. Since it cannot pick up the wheat due to lack of inventory space, it instead plants a new seed and leaves the harvested wheat item in the farm.

To construct this farm in survival mode, you will need a zombie villager. Heal it using a potion of weakness and a golden apple. Once healed, provide it with 8 stacks of seeds. Ensure the villager is freed into the farm with seeds already planted; otherwise, it may use the provided seeds to plant the entire field instead of harvesting.

What to bring first

Survival or creative?

This build is not survival-obtainable as-is. It contains Farmland, which cannot be collected in survival – paste it in creative, or substitute those blocks.

Moving parts

It includes Comparator, Detector Rail, Hopper, Powered Rail, Rail, Redstone Block, Redstone Torch, Redstone Wire, so check the mechanism still works after pasting – redstone state and item-container contents do not always survive a paste.
