This is a compact, flush-fitting trapdoor design. It is my first trapdoor build and I hope you find it useful.

This build uses 132 blocks across 6 block types – about 3 stacks in total, which fits inside a single shulker box. It occupies 11×10 blocks of ground and stands 4 blocks tall.

What to bring first

Survival or creative?

Every block in this build can be obtained in survival, so it can be built by hand without creative mode or commands.

Moving parts

It includes Lever, Redstone Wire, Repeater, Sticky Piston, so check the mechanism still works after pasting – redstone state and item-container contents do not always survive a paste.
