This design features two modular sugar cane farm variants, one optimized for a 2-chunk intersection and another for a 4-chunk intersection. Each module accommodates 64 sugar cane plants. A flying machine, controlled by an obsidian lever, harvests the crops. The collected sugar cane is transported via minecart and hopper system to a dispenser. This allows for centralized storage by connecting multiple modules with water streams. Alternatively, chests can be placed directly for individual module storage, as shown in one of the examples.

This farm is specifically designed for servers with chunk limitations, such as a maximum of 64 sugar cane per chunk.

Two schematic files are provided: one for the 2-chunk design and one for the 4-chunk design. Please refer to the images for precise placement within chunk boundaries.

You can substitute the leaf blocks with any non-sticky, non-slime-interactive block, such as tiles, pumpkins, honey blocks, obsidian, or furnaces.

Before You Build

This build uses 1,612 blocks across 25 block types – about 26 stacks in total, which fits inside a single shulker box. It occupies 21×19 blocks of ground and stands 9 blocks tall.

What to bring first

Lime Stained Glass – 414 6 stacks + 30
Sugar Cane – 336 5 stacks + 16
Mangrove Leaves – 159 2 stacks + 31
Bamboo Slab – 143 2 stacks + 15
Mud – 133 2 stacks + 5

Survival or creative?

Every block in this build can be obtained in survival, so it can be built by hand without creative mode or commands.

Moving parts

It includes Comparator, Dropper, Hopper, Lever, Note Block, Observer, Powered Rail, Rail, so check the mechanism still works after pasting – redstone state and item-container contents do not always survive a paste.
