This simple and beginner-friendly creeper farm is designed for both Java and Bedrock editions, offering high gunpowder production rates. Java users can expect up to 12,000 items per hour, while Bedrock players will see roughly 2,500 to 3,500 per hour using a Looting III sword. The project typically takes between one and three hours to construct.
For optimal performance, build the structure at Y=240 on land or Y=140 over deep ocean biomes. The farm functions best on Hard difficulty with a render distance of 6-8 chunks and a simulation distance of 6-7 chunks. While it is possible to add more layers, a two-layer design is recommended for the best efficiency.
Bedrock edition players should note specific structural requirements, such as using solid blocks for the roof instead of slabs and building walls with full blocks rather than stairs. Ensure the area is spawn-proofed or built within a perimeter to maximize mob spawning rates.

It includes Hopper, so check the mechanism still works after pasting – redstone state and item-container contents do not always survive a paste.
