Build /summon commands with custom NBT for every vanilla mob — baby variants, equipment, colors, and mob-specific options.

Run /summon from an operator’s chat, a command block, or the server console. Not every internal NBT field is covered — this generates the commonly-used ones for each mob.

How to Use the Trader Llama Summon Generator

  1. Type trader llama into the search box, or select it from the Utility/Other group in the dropdown.
  2. Pick a Color Variant – Creamy, White, Brown, or Gray.
  3. Set Strength from 1 to 5 – the same stat that controls a regular llama’s spit damage and chest capacity.
  4. Copy the generated /summon command into a command block, server console, or operator chat.

Command Syntax & NBT Reference

Base command: /summon minecraft:trader_llama ~ ~ ~ {NBT}. The two fields map to:

  • Variant:03 – Creamy, White, Brown, and Gray coat colors, the same options a regular Llama uses.
  • Strength:N (1–5) – controls spit damage and potential chest capacity the same way it does for a regular Llama.

Trader Llama is its own distinct entity type (minecraft:trader_llama), separate from minecraft:llama, even though the two share an almost identical model and these same color/strength options. Unlike the regular Llama entry in this generator, there’s no Tamed field here – trader llamas aren’t meant to be tamed by the player at all; in survival they exist solely to travel alongside a wandering trader.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this summoned trader llama automatically follow a wandering trader?

Not unless one is nearby to bond with – in normal spawning, 1-2 trader llamas are leashed to a wandering trader the moment both spawn together. Summoning a trader llama on its own, away from any trader, leaves it as an independent mob with no one to follow.

Why is there no Tamed option for Trader Llama like there is for regular Llama?

Because trader llamas simply aren’t designed to be tamed by players in vanilla Minecraft – their entire role is being the wandering trader’s pack animal and defender, so this generator (matching that intended use) doesn’t expose a Tame field for this entity.

Does a Trader Llama still spit to defend itself like a regular Llama?

Yes – spitting when threatened is shared behavior between both llama types, and it’s exactly the reason trader llamas are useful escorts: they’ll spit at hostile mobs or players that attack the wandering trader they’re bonded to.

Can I turn this Trader Llama into a regular tamed Llama afterward?

Not through any NBT field this generator exposes – the two are permanently separate entity types in Minecraft’s data. If you want a tamable pack llama, use the regular Llama Summon Generator instead.
